Our First, Most Cherished Liberty
A Statement of Religious Liberty

"We are Catholics. We are Americans. We are proud to be both, grateful for the gift of faith which is ours as Christian disciples, and grateful for the gift of liberty which is ours as American citizens. To be Catholic and American should mean not having to choose one over the other.  Our allegiances are distinct, but they need not be contradictory, and should instead be complementary." "Declare government has no place defining religion, religious ministry. Seek protection for conscience rights of institutions, individuals. Stress action with the public, White House, Congress, courts."

14 March 2012: "United for Religious Freedom. A Statement of the Administrative Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops"
Excerpt:
"The Administrative Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, gathered for its March 2012 meeting, is strongly unified and intensely focused in its opposition to the various threats to religious freedom in our day. In our role as Bishops, we approach this question prayerfully and as pastors - concerned not only with the protection of the Church's own institutions, but with the care of the souls of the indiividual faithful, and with the common good."

Electronic contributions to Saint Benedict Church

For decades, members of the Saint Benedict Parish community have displayed the depth of their devotion to the Eucharist by their sacrificial offerings of time, talent, and financial resources.

Saint Benedict Parish has initiated a secure system of
electronic giving whereby parishioners and guests may donate to the parish on-line by having funds transferred electronically. This method provides the same confidentiality as traditional envelops plus the convenience offered by on-line services. Traditional envelopes will still be used for those who prefer that method of giving.

From the right hand side of any page in this website, click in the box entitled "Electronic Contributions to Saint Benedict Parish" to be directed to the e-giving link. All necessary information will be given during the log in process and donation process.
